Cardiff City confirm the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as first team manager

Cardiff City Football Club are delighted to announce that Ole Gunnar Solskjær has joined the club as first team manager.

Following discussions with Tan Sri Vincent Tan and Club Chairman Mehmet Dalman, Ole, joining Cardiff City from Molde FK, today met with his new squad at the Vale training ground and will soon be unveiled to the press at Cardiff City Stadium.

The new manager has been promised substantial funds by club benefactor Tan Sri Vincent Tan in order to ensure that Cardiff City are able to stay in the Premier League.

Fans favourite Malky Mackay was sacked by Vincent Tan after their relationship broke down.

A week after City Fans protested at Anfield, Vincent Tan and the Board of Directors announced that Malky Mackay has been relieved of his duties following the 0-3 defeat at home to Southampton.

The statement read: “The Board of Directors at Cardiff City Football Club have today relieved Malky Mackay of his duties. A new first-team manager will be appointed and announced in due course.”
