It is a good point for Cardiff despite taking the lead

A journey that I hope will not be repeated again, over 7 hours, no stopping apart from the queues and queues of standstill traffic, M4, M5 and all the way along the M6.

We got the ground with ten minutes to spare for kick off, the line up surprised the majority on our coach, Ole had gone for a very attacking line up.

Three strikers on the pitch, Ole set his stall out to go and attack Blackburn.

The home side made the brighter start and a handball on the edge of the box, which I think was made by Hudson had my heart in my mouth as I thought it was inside.

From that point City started to take control of proceedings and Fabio was linking up well with Daehli, on the other side of the pitch we were looking comfortable with Maynard firstly then Le Fondre playing in front of Brayford.

Hudson was winning everything that came down the middle, overall City were looking comfortable.

The biggest applause for his performance must be that of Kenwynne Jones, he worked tirelessly chasing balls, winning headers and eventually getting his reward of a goal from a flick on off a Whittingham delivery.

My first thought at that point was City were going to take control of the game and kick on from a near perfect start.

Unfortunately we allowed Blackburn to start coming back into the game and we were backing off and allowing far too much space particularly through the middle.

Blackburn scored a goal, which yes people will point to Whittingham losing the ball but even so David Marshall should have done better.

The second half was very disappointing from our point of view, we were very predictable.

There was no pace in the side and in the second half we offered no width.

I thought taking Kenwynne Jones off when we did was a tad too early, he was our only threat up top and it didn’t seem like he had run out of steam to me.

With Daehli already off and Whittingham out wide, we had no creative player in the middle of the park, so once Jones was subbed I couldn’t see where we would create any chances from.

Overall, I am happy with a point away from home against anyone and if we can take those points and not play that well for the majority of the game then I will be happy for many away trips.

Home form, with the home backing, we must get the wins.

Win at home, draw away and everyone’s happy.

Ole came right up to us at the end and applauded our support and with a thumbs up he mouthed the words ‘Good point’.

I don’t think anyone can disagree.
