Annis Abraham : Cardiff City embarrass themselves versus 10 man Charlton

My View/Opinion

‘ CARDIFF CITY EMBARRASS THEMSELVES V 10 MAN CHARLTON ‘

Today showed once again we will struggle in the long run under Russell Slade & Scott Young.

Charlton with 10 men made a double subs and from then on slaughtered Cardiff

The scoreline totally flatters Cardiff City, yes we got a draw but were totally out played by 10 men Charlton,Slades football is dire and clueless.

2pts from our last 12pts

Charlton 1 Cardiff City 1

Cardiff City line up

Marshall, Brayford, Turner, whittingham, Noone, John, Gunnarsson, Adeyemi, S.Morrison,K Jones, Le Fondre.
Subs: Moore, Fabio, Manga, Connolly, Ralls, Harris, Macheda.

Slade shocked many including myself by leaving Kadeem Harris,Fabio and Manga on the bench

City were Cheered on by about 1,000 Bluebirds, nearly all wearing Blue

Cardiff City went in to this game without a win in our last 3 games and were playing Charlton who had not won a game in their last 5 matches and were one place beneath us.

City made a steady start and then in the 12th minute from a Gunnarson long throw,Adeyemi heads it in,at the far post,0-1 City  Gunnarsson had another long throw, Turner again with the flick on and Adeyemi went close once more. Cardiff were good value for the lead

Cardiff threatened again as Jones broke through but it was ruled offside, looked very tight.

Cardiff were all over Charlton and City fans were continually singing “We Will Always Be Blue”

Craig noone fires over the bar from the edge of the penalty box in the 31st minute,Cardiff were really controlling the game.

Then in the 34th minute Red card for Charltons Harriott for a challenge on Noone

But in the 38th min Charlton came at Cardiff and Marshall had to make a good save from a volley

Half time Charlton 0 City 1   And well deserved

Cardiff were all over them from the first second and Charlton were struggling to keep the ball

But then in the 53rd minute Marshall made a fine save, then 2 mins later Charlton attack again & put it wide

59th min Charlton did a double subs, Gomez and Jackson replaced by Vetokele and Onyewu.

64th min Sean Morrison booked for City.

Charlton’s 10 men were now in control and dominating City

68th min Charlton hit the woodwork.

69th min Le Fondre replaced by Harris

Marshall called in to action again and does another excellent save.

74th & 75th min Brayford clears off the line, then Marshall saved again.

Two penalty claims turned down for Charlton, one a handball.

10 men Charlton dominated the second half and in the 86th minute got what they rightly deserved 1-1.

My man of the match David Marshall

Today showed me,City are just getting worse under Slade & Young.

Next up is Watford home this Sunday 3pm
