Annis Abraham : Stopped the rot/Battling display but and I mean a big but

My View/Opinion :

‘ BATTLING DISPLAY/ROT STOPPED BUT AND I MEAN BUT ‘
CITY STILL ONLY PLAYED WELL FOR 45 MINS AGAINST A MEDIOCRE SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY TEAM.

I Have to say the first half was one of the best displays since Russell Slade has been here  :thumbright:  :thumbright:

Sheffield Wednesday 1 Cardiff City 1

Crowd 22,344

Cardiff City Team :

Moore, Peltier, Manga, Morrison, Malone, Whittingham, O’Keefe, Gunnarsson, McAleny, Jones, Doyle.

Over 1,000 Cardiff Fans travelled the near 400 mile round journey.

This game was Russell Slade’s chance to put the record straight, after only 1 win from his last 9 games  Slade now had 7 of his own players he had brought in as well as a large squad of talented players to chose from, so there would be No more excuses today against a middle table Sheffield Wednesday team who had won any of their 3 previous league games.

Loved the first half, 45 mins of passion, hard working performances, all up for it, Kenwyne Jones everywhere and even scored from a header in the 6th minute to show again why our top scorer needs to start.

O’Keefe was poor today.

Doyle was everywhere and looked up for it but why was he taken off?

McAleny was lively.

Peltier had a solid game before going off.

Malone provided the goal for Kenwyne Jones.

We deserved the first half and were well worth our 1-0 lead.  :thumbright:

YET AGAIN ANOTHER 45 MINS OF CITY GOING MISSING AND SLADE NOT BEING ABLE TO COMBAT THE OPPOSITION CHANGING FORMATION, VERY WORRYING  :o

We let Wednesday back in the game and thankfully held on to a 1-1 draw against a team who had the 2nd worst home record for conceding goals at home.

Now it is just the one win in our last ten league game and that surely has to start improving asap, will we go down, no! Thankfully there are worse teams in the division than us.

Am I happy with a point away from home, yes of course I am  :thumbright: , just disappointed with 2nd 45 minutes once again.

My man of the match is Kenwyne Jones

Next up struggling Brighton at home this Tuesday night  :thumbright:
