Carl Curtis : I thought Russell Slade got it wrong but
It would be easy to come on here and say I knew we would keep our run going over Leeds but when I saw the line up I feared Slade had got it wrong, I thought starting Noone ahead of Kennedy was a mistake, I thought Doyle would have got the nod over McAleny and Fabio would have started instead of Malone.
And what about the centre of midfield ?
Whittingham and Gunnarsson starting together again, what do they have to do to get dropped was my reaction to the team sheet.
But following reports on Sky, BBC and Twitter it seems that City gave a good account of themselves.
So fair play to Slade this evening and the team, they got the result despite having no support (or very little) from the stands.
Since 1984 that is 12 wins, 5 draws and no defeats against Leeds.
Let’s hope we can finish the season strong and get a top ten finish, it is possible and with Millwall and Blackpool left to play at home, it could come down to us having to beat Forest on the last day to sneak into the top ten.
Good feeling to win today especially because of our boycott, which I believe will work in our favour going forward, and no better to do it against a club like Leeds.
City players celebrating the winning goal.
