Mason Edwards : Noone once again, average performance but

FULL TIME: Cardiff City 1-0 AFC Wimbledon.

Cardiff City are through to the Second Round. The Second Round draw will take place on Thursday.

An average City performance but a win is a win and after seeing some shocking scores tonight I’m more than happy with this Result.

TEAM NEWS – Wilson, Peltier, Fabio, Morrison, Connolly, Gunnarsson, O’Keefe, Ameobi, Noone, Revell, Doyle.

TEAM NEWS – subs: Moore, Ajayi, Ralls, Kennedy, Harris, Jones, Mason.

Official Attendance at CCS tonight was 6,314 including 550 away supporters.

Expected more in the first half from a strong City side with only the 1 shot on target but Craig Noone’s fantastic free kick just before the interval lightened things up for the Bluebirds.

Craig Noone looking sharp to be fair, played well on Saturday and was prob the best player on the pitch tonight.

Also, Think we missed Malone tonight – Best player on the pitch against Fulham IMO. Peltier was solid once again, Morrisson and Connolly also looked very stable.

Midfield also looking strong good to see Aron Gunnarsson back in the starting line up.

Sammy Ameobi looks dangerous going forward but gave away some sloppy balls. Doyle and Revell were poor and didn’t add anything to the game.

Kenwyne Jones impressed me, he lightened things up for City when he came off the bench.

Second Half was a bit more lively with both sides attacking looking dangerous. AFC Wimbledon had a few good chances once hitting the crossbar but City held on and earned a good win.

QPR next – Bloooooobirds.
