Annis Abraham : Slade plays some of his better players and wins comfortably
MY VIEW
” SLADE PLAYS SOME OF HIS BETTER PLAYERS AND WINS COMFORTABLY ”
Today due to a virus, Slade was forced to start Fabio and Kenwyne Jones and then later bring star player Ameobi on and for me.
City today controlled the match and a defeat never looked in doubt against a strong Wolves team.
City always looked solid in defence.
Sadly the lowest crowd ever in the stadium, even with tickets at £10.
City climb to 7th in the League.
Cardiff City 2 Wolves 0

Cardiff City: Marshall, Fabio, Peltier, Morrison, Connolly, Whittingham, Dikgacoi, Ralls, Pilkington, Jones, Mason.
Subs: Moore, Ecuele Manga, Gunnarsson, Noone, Ameobi, Doyle, Revell.
City with 3 games behind them, undefeated but without a win, needed to win this and give the City faithful something to cheer about.
Wolves come into this game on back of defeat, they threw away two goal lead against QPR.
For me the first 20 minutes was even stevens and City’s best chance came from a shot by Mason in the 18th minute.
25th Minute Joe Mason had a goal disallowed for a borderline off side decision ? Hmmmmmmm
In the 39th minute City nearly paid the price for going to sleep and but thankfully Wolves had a clear cut chance that they headed wide.
In the 44th minute a brilliant header by Kenwyne Jones put City 1-0 up.
That’s why Jones should start every week.
Half-time
CCFC 1 WOLVES 0
Good defending by Wolves in the 52nd minute stopped Kenwyne Jones from scoring his second goal.
56th minute Jones went off injured to be replaced by Ameobi.
59th minute GOAL strike by Ameobi.
City were in total control now.
71st minute Ameobi made a brilliant run to then shoot wide, excellent football.
88th minute Manga on for a tired Fabio .
93rd minute Joe Mason in my opinion missed a sitter.
My man of the match FABIO.
GREAT WIN AND DESERVEDLY.
