Carl Curtis : It is alarming

‘ IT IS ALARMING ”

I know this subject has been spoken about a number of times but the way it is developing is worrying.

Swansea City opened up a development centre in Heath/Cardiff a couple of months ago.

There are now approximately 100 children from Cardiff and its surrounding areas in the centre which are split into 5 different age groups with around 20 children in each age bracket.

The kids must purchase the kit from Swansea and now they have been asked to purchase a training top (jumper) from Swansea for the winter training.

Each child pays £90 per term, 3 terms per season, to train in Heath with Swansea.

The coaches are from Cardiff and are ex-Cardiff City coaches.

The training sessions have been changed from a Wednesday to a Saturday afternoon.

I have never heard of clubs of any standard or any age training on a Saturday afternoon before, has anyone else ever heard of this happening anywhere ?
