Carl Curtis : We rode our luck, I am delighted

We rode our luck today, Brighton had the lions share of possession, they had probably 5 times more shots than us but they were the home team, top of the league and we went there and got a point, I am delighted with the score line.

It was a point that I was not expecting to get before the kick off so to go one up was brilliant.

Simon Moore and Matthew Connolly were outstanding this afternoon and both are deserving of winning the man of the match award.

It was an afternoon where City had to show character and dig in to get something from the game and we did just that.

There is absolutely no doubt we rode our luck today but I am happy to ride our luck and come away from the league leaders with a point.

After ten games Russell Slade can be reasonably happy with our performances, results and league position.

City fans were in great voice and gave excellent support again to the Bluebirds.

It is clear that we need some pace in the team and that is something I hope the manager can sort out but he will be pleased with the battling performance his team are showing.

The players are working tirelessly for Slade and that gives me optimism for the season ahead at least.
