With the sale today of Joe Mason to Wolves, am I right in thinking there isn’t a single striker left at Cardiff City who has scored a Championship goal this season?

If so, that really is an extraordinary situation for a club that is allegedly chasing promotion to the Premier League to be in at this time of year.

When I read Mason had been sold, I had a quick look at the squad stats on Soccerbase and it appears that City now don’t have a single striker who has scored a Championship goal in 2015/16. As far as I can make out, all they have left is Revell, Macheda and Saadi. Two of those haven’t even started a league game, let alone scored a goal.

Amazing stuff, even at Cardiff City.
