” TONIGHT BORO WERE A DIFFERENT CLASS THAN CARDIFF ”

City tonight we’re second best through out the game and did not look like the same side that thrashed Brighton last Saturday.

We also made to many mistakes.

In the first half for 5 solid minutes the 120-140 City fans sang Russell’s Slades Barmy Army at Boro.

City could of lost by a far bigger margin.

Once again the long journey to the North of England, our furthest away game and yet again the Football League put the fixture on a Tuesday night, totally unfair to the City diehards.

City went in this game on a high after a run of 6 games undefeated, while Boro had lost their way and were on a run of poor results.

Boro attacked from the first minute and should of scored with in the first 10mins but thankfully their shots were not on target.

City’s first shot on goal was a wonder goal by Fabio in the 20th min, could even be goal of the season 0-1 City.
Fabio’s goal was worth the long journey.

But Boro went straight on the attack and shot after shot led to an own goal by Connolly 1-1.

Boro continued to attack City.

Connolly continued to have a nightmare of a game by passing back and thankfully Boro shot wide.

Half-time Boro 1 City 1

Boro continued attacking.

Scott Malone on the break kicked it in to Immers who had a great header saved by the the Boro keeper in the 47th min.

Boro went straingt back on the attack and it was their finishing that thankfully let them down.

Boro’s attacks continued and City’s defence caved in with Manga also having a night mare of a game was at fault for Boro’s 2nd goal 2-1 Boro in the 63rd minute
72nd minute Whittingham was replaced by Sammy Ameobi

80th minute David Marshall saved a penalty.

82nd minute O’Keefe was replaced by Gunnarson

83rd minute a mistake by Lawrence gifted Boro a 3rd goal by Boro striker Nugent 3-1.

My Man of the match Lex Immers.
