City went to Burnley with just 3 losses in our last 13 games to face the league leaders at Turf Moor.

Despite City’s recent good form, I think many accumulators went down tonight thanks to a resilient Cardiff performance.

We set up with a defensive line up that was designed to hit Burnley on the counter attack and Slade very nearly got exactly what his set up deserved.

City weren’t overrun by Burnley and with better finishing we could have actually won the game.

Marshall did his bit as well by making fantastic saves very late on but City certainly didn’t deserve to lose tonight.

Even though we lost ground on the play offs, with Derby and Sheffield Wednesday winning, our most difficult game of our run in is gone and I believe we can look forward with an air of optimism.

We have gained ground on Birmingham behind us and Ipswich drew so didn’t close the gap.

I am going to Fulham on Saturday believing we will win and I am hopeful that we can close the gap on to the play offs again.

We got plenty to look forward too and we can be proud of our team tonight after gaining a credible draw.
