Leyton Orient fans tried to storm their team’s coach after defeat at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday ended their hopes of promotion in League Two.
They surrounded the bus and stopped all the players from leaving, while chanting “Were f*cking shit and we know we are”.
O’s caretaker boss Andy Hessenthaler is also understood to have blocked more fans from getting on the coach to get at his players.
One supporter is understood to have climbed onto the bus and had to be forced off the vehicle.
Orient players were abused with chants of “we’re f****** s***” and more unhappy fans tried to force themselves on the coach.
Supporters then stood in front of the vehicle and stopped the players from leaving Kingsmeadow stadium.
Orient lost 1-0 against Wimbledon and it is now mathematically impossible for them to reach the play-offs this season.
Lyle Taylor scored the only goal of the game for Wimbledon, who remain in the final play-offs place, ahead of tomorrow’s game against Portsmouth.
Orient started the season well, winning their first six games, but are now languishing in 14th place after securing just 4 points from a possible total of 21 in recent weeks.
Orient did not respond when contacted for a comment on the incidents.
