‘ MORE CARDIFF PLAYERS SET TO LEAVE/ESPECIALLY COSTLY ONES ‘
Vincent Tan wants strikers Federico Macheda and Adam Le Fondre moved on as soon as possible, not only because they don’t figure in the Bluebirds plans for next season, but between them, they are costing the club a staggering £200,000 a month.
Another costly player is Tom Adeyemi, City were hoping Leeds United would keep him on and buy him for a £1million, but with his wages approx £80,000 a month City would like to see Adeyemi find a new club as soon as possible.
Matthew Kennedy not a costly player but a player who was sent out on loan last season by previous manager Russell Slade,is hoping that he can persuade new manager Paul Trollope to give him a chance.
Kagisho Dikgacoi another player that is costing City over £60,000 a month,Dikgacoi started last season well, but faded as the season went on.
CARDIFF CITY HAVE ALREADY RELEASED THESE PLAYERS BELOW,BUT MANAGER TROLLOPE KNOWS IF HE IS TO HAVE FUNDS HE NEEDS TO GET RID OF MORE OF THE BIGGER EARNERS ABOVE.
City Defender Ben Turner and striker Kenwyne Jones have become the two latest players to be released by Cardiff City.
Goalkeeper Joe Lewis, forward Etien Velikonja and midfielder Filip Kiss had already been let go by the Bluebirds as they look for a fresh start under new head coach Paul Trollope.
Ben Turner, who scored in the FA Cup final defeat to Liverpool back in 2012, played 31 times for the club in the Premier League during their time in the top flight but is now deemed to be surplus to requirements.
Meanwhile Trinidad and Tobago international Jones, who had a spell last season on loan with Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates, has not been offered fresh terms at the Cardiff City Stadium and will also be looking for a new club.
