WARNOCK:”I WILL CONTINUE TO RING CHANGES TILL THE TRANSFER MARKET OPENS”

Cardiff City’s task has been made all the more difficult by Sol Bamba’s two-match suspension . The Ivorian centre back — who has been so impressive since joining on a free transfer in October — lost his temper against Ipswich Town after a nasty tackle by Jonathan Douglas tackle.

Warnock revealed Bamba had said sorry for his hot-headed reaction.

“He came to see me on Sunday and he was distraught,” said Warnock.

“He came in and said he wanted to apologise to me and to the players because he let the club down and the fans down, to be honest.

“He felt it looked worse than it was because the lad came in with a tackle. Sol showed me the studs’ mark and he thought it was an injustice but we’ve just got to deal with it.”

Neil Warnock accepted Bamba’s actions were wrong, with a decision over the club taking its own disciplinary action yet to be taken, but criticised referee James Adcock.

Warnock:”He got two games for aggressive behaviour, but if they had given us a longer ban then we would of put our argument forward.”

“We felt that there were mitigating circumstances. Me and Sol never even saw the red card at the time. We had our backs to the referee. And I do think the ref got a bit wrong on Saturday. It was a poor (refereeing) performance.”

While Bruno Manga will step into the breach for the home matches against Wolves and Barnsley, Warnock’s concerns are in forward areas. Rickie Lambert’s battle for full match fitness lingers on, while Kadeem Harris and Junior Hoilett were below par.
Warnock has vowed to continue experimenting with his team selection until the transfer window opens.

Warnock:”I’ve been here eight games now and I’m still learning about them (the players).”

“The fans are going to play a big role but we need to create more, we need more quality up the field. We need more goals. I thought were we poor against Ipswich over the halfway line.

“Credit to Gunnars and Whitts, I thought they were excellent in midfield, but we didn’t have enough going forward.”

” I will continue to wring the changes”

“Lambert is a doubt to start against Wolves having been unable to train before the Ipswich clash.”
Frederic Goungonbe earned praise from Warnock after the goalless draw with Brighton, Warnock revealed he is ready to shuffle his pack once again.

Warnock:”To be fair to Rickie, he hadn’t trained for 10 days before Saturday,” he added. So I’m looking to see what we can do to get more goals in the team.

“I’m still looking at options, we’ve got to find something so I’ll keep changing things up between now and January.”
” Rickie Lambert has missed a few matches through injury”
‘ NEIL WARNOCK CALLED ON CARDIFF CITY FANS ‘
Warnock wants supporters to recreate that cauldron-like atmosphere, starting on Tuesday night.

Warnock:“I think the fans have been fantastic.”

“They’ve got behind us, even in the second half last week when Brighton were on top. The fans can lift us though, we came back stronger in the end and Chris [Hughton] was happy with a point in the end.

“It’s an intimidating place if the crowd gets going – hopefully in the next two games they can lift the roof off again.”
