Bruno Manga is for sale and is expected to leave Cardiff City this January, but Warnock wants to keep him and as he will be away on International duty from January 14th till at least February, BUT will a club want him that late?
City were believed to have wanted £2million for him,but due to his high wages, are now willing to accept less than a £million for him.
Bruno Manga cost Cardiff City £3.5million.
Cardiff City owner wants to sell Bruno Manga due to his approx £25,000 a week wages, but they sign Ben Amos and Rickie Lambert on approx nearly the same wages? ?
Neil Warnock would like to keep Bruno Manga, but understands City can’t afford him.
Bruno Manga by Neil Warnocks own admission has been outstanding.
Manga will line up for hosts Gabon in the 2017 edition of the AFCON
Cardiff City will be without defender Bruno Manga for at least two matches in the New Year as he has been called up by his national side to play in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 28-year-old has been a regular starter for his national side over the past few years, and Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock will not be shocked by his absence.
It is very well known that Manga wanted at one stage to play back in France and that French clubs were interested in him,but since Warnock arrived,Manga seems to have adapted very well to how Warnock plays his teams.
However, in recent weeks, Manga has performed well in the centre of defence during the enforced absence of Sol Bamba after his altercation at Ispwich earlier this month.
Despite his excellent performances, Warnock has made it no secret he has to offload Manga in the January transfer window as he looks to free up some room on the wage bill to bring in new recruits.
Manga is one of the highest earners at Cardiff City,Warnock has made it clear that he wants to utilise the money from the sale of Manga to strengthen his squad with lower earners.
The Africa Cup of Nations begins in Gabon on January 14 as the 16 best sides in Africa compete across three weeks for the trohpy.
With Manga expected to leave the club in January, it remains to be seen if he will still be a Cardiff City player when he steps out for Gabon in their opening AFCON match on January 14.
Manga has done well since replacing Sol Bamba at centre back
