No contract for Peter Whittingham, yet?

Warnock was today asked has Whitts been offered a new contract yet and Warnock stated “No”

Neil Warnock today confirmed Peter Whittingham has not yet been offered a new Cardiff City contract.

His current deal expires at the end of this season.

Peter Whittingham is currently on approx £20,000 a week,which was increased when City were in the Premier League.

Peter Whittingham is 32 years now and his current Cardiff City contract runs out in less than 6 months

Whittingham has played 438 times for Cardiff City, scoring 95 goals and, even at the age of 32, remains an integral part of the Bluebirds’ side but Peter Whittingham’s contract expires in the summer.

With Neil Warnock looking to shake up his squad in January, many have assumed Whittingham — Cardiff’s longest serving player by a distance — will be one of the players to stay put.
