Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock for the last two months has been intent on bringing a new striker/winger to Cardiff City due to the shortage of goals from his current strikers.

It is believed that Warnock enquired about Preston’s Callum Robinson(ex Aston Villa) to see if he was for sale and then later went back to be told he will cost at least £2million.
Today the Daily Mail understands that Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to make a second bid of over £2million for Preston North End forward Callum Robinson.

Cardiff City and Fulham were also keen on the 21-year-old, but Wolves are the only ones to actually tabled a bid and expect an answer this week.

With only 7 days left of the transfer market open and with then no more loan deals allowed after the transfer,Warnock is keen to bring in a striker.

Warnock also wants to offload striker Rickie Lamber who has failed to impress and who’s wages of £25,000 a week are putting a strain on Neil warlock’s budget.

All clubs have been alerted that Rickie Lambert is available on a free transfer.
