‘ BRAVE PERFORMANCE BY CARDIFF CITY/BUT ONCE AGAIN ‘

By Annis Abraham

Two back to back defeats in a week.

Brave performance by Cardiff City at Reading today, but without a proven striker they are virtually always come of second best against the teams near the top of the Championship.

Warnock made a number of substituions when City were losing 2-1,but this time they were unable to get City anything.

City came to Reading with an attacking team, but were forced defend for long periods.

Reading had most of the first-half with City attacking on the break, Gunnarson,Morrison and Rhys Healey stood out for me and City were able to go in at half-time drawing thanks to Warnocks type of play, battle for everything and call for everything :bluebird:

Young striker Rhys Healey made his first start for Cardiff City as striker Rickie Lambert was left out of the whole match day squad.
Reading did most of the attacking, but to be fair to City they had ago and attacked on the break,as the game went on reading attacked more and in the 43rd minute, McGregor palmed away a shot, the ball fell to McCleary who produced a stunning back heel for Smith to lash home from six yards out. 1-0 Reading. 😥

In the 45th min Sean Morrison was brought down by Moore and Cardiff had a penalty, which Ralls smashed it to the right, bang in the net 1-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

H/T Reading 1 Cardiff City 1
City started the second-half attacking Reading from the first second and looked good, but Johore battles everywhere, but nothing infant of goal.

60th min then Readings Yann Kermorgant smashed in from a free-kick and the Royals retook the lead 2-1 😥

65th min Kadeem Harris replaced Kenneth Zohore.

Reading continued attacking looking for a 3rd goal, but to be fair to City, they attacked on the break and on a number of times could have equalised.

City brought on Greg Halford for Matthew Kennedy.

City brought on Whittingham in place of Ralls.

But this time the substitutions by Warnock never worked.
