‘ NEIL WARNOCK HAD A MEETING THIS WEEK WITH CCFC FINANCE DEPT ‘
Neil Warnock:

“We had a meeting this week, it changes every week, some players sign new contracts, as we add players to the squad we knock some off the bottom of the list. With the chief scout we have weekly meetings, updating positions with availability.”

“It’s whatever positions where we can get a good player — we need a squad, last few games had very little on the bench, if going for promotion some of lads on bench shouldn’t be anywhere near — no disrespect. They should be pushing for it. We’re not looking to spend fortunes.”

“Hopefully get sensible wage options without killing the club, that’s what we should do.”

“I can’t fault the effort. We’ve talked about the late goals and hopefully we can learn from that and I think we can.”
“We’ve thrown nine points away but I’d rather do it now when we can solve the problem.”

“We have a tough game but then the international break where we can recuperate.”
‘ LATEST ON BRUNO MANGA ‘

Neil Warnock: “We’re thin on the ground”
NEIL WARNOCK:
“We’ll have a starting XI. We’re thin on the ground and we’ve had some disappointments this week. I’m not sure this week.”

“There’s a couple doubtful.”
” Bruno Manga trained well, he might be able to go on the bench I hope, we’ll find out today.”

“They told us when we initially saw him he would be out six months, his season was finished — but we looked at him and he didn’t look as bad. Our scan showed certain things and he’s worked hard at his rehab and all credit to the medical department.”
Neil Warnock on Kenneth Zohore
“These two clearly have a great bond… but that doesn’t stop Warnock being more frustrated with Zohore’s Danish Under-21 call up than anything else…”

“He’s more tired than anything than anything we have to be careful muscle wise. He’s been called up and flies out after the game but I still plan to have a chat. We’re a bit of a victim of our own success.”
NEIL WARNOCK:
Neil Warnock talks about Mick McCarthy

“I was about 25 when I met him, he was a couple of years younger, an apprentice.”
“He was the biggest 16 year old ever, a great guy. We’ve had ups and downs in our careers, we’ve been at clubs and I’ve said been careful what you wish for and Mick’s been the same but come through it.”
“We’ve had some good battles over the years. He’s got a bit to do to catch me yet. I remember him cleaning my boots.”
“He’s a bit like Wenger, fans having a go at regular times, but he’s like me and doesn’t worry about the sack, and if he left tomorrow he’d get a job the next week so would I.”
“Championship 14 managers sacked, how can you talk about building a project? We want to do well next season, but you don’t know in this game.
As you get older you don’t feel the pressure as much.”

Neil Warnock: ” Its All about the money”
“I think it’s about the money, especially the Championship”

“It was £100m when I last went up but I think it’s more than that and all the foreign owners have come in for that carrot of the Premier League.”

“The clubs coming down the parachute payments they get will be phenomenal but that won’t worry us, we’ve got bricks in place, we’re looking for the icing on the cake.”

“Although clubs come down they have the money, they lose two or three better players because they want to be in the Premier League. It won’t be plain sailing for them.”

NEIL WARNOCK: “Just look at Villa…”

“A lot of clubs spend a lot of money and they take it for granted they will get success.”

“Villa and the money they spent and then let their manager go in October. If it was about spending for success, the top clubs would always do it but the bottom clubs can beat the top any day of the week. You’ve got to have a dressing room, a fabulous spirit.”

“You need that dressing room when chips are down.”

Neil Warnock on meetings with finance director

Neil Warnock:

“It was good, they’ve gone away after we talked about our figures, the approximate wages, what I need to clear. It will be about ten days after the first meeting and then we have another meeting so where we can get started.”

Neil Warnock:

“Just to confirm Lee Peltier is still a long term absence, while Rickie Lambert and Rhys Healey are both out.”
