NEIL WARNOCK:

“I’ve offered him a contract, it’s not like his last contract”

“Nothing. We’ve had a good chat Peter & I, we’ve laid the cards out, he has to see what happens, what develops for him, he might have clubs who can offer a more lucrative contract or a chance to play more regularly, he has to weigh up one side or the other before committing himself.”

“He knows what I’m thinking. I don’t think he’ll leave it too long to make a decision.”

“I’ve offered him a contract, it’s not like his last contract. He has to weigh it up. I know he’s loyal but he has to weigh things up. He might have opp to have another couple of years at another challenge. I would imagine we’ll know what each other’s doing by the time we come back from Malaysia.”

Peter Whittingham’s contract finishes next month and after 10 years of playing for Cardiff City it looks like he will be leaving.

Whittingham was given an improved contract in the Premier League and it was believed to be about £20,000- £25,000 a week, It is now believed City have offered half of that.

Whitts at the moment is now looking else where.
